Prepare for rideshare vehicles to soon have digital ads of their own.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedrum.com\/news\/2024\/06\/11\/advertisers-can-now-buy-media-the-uber-rides-app-via-their-favorite-dsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an announcement made in mid-June<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Uber is opening its doors to programmatic buying across its Rides app. This news comes as part of the ride-hailing app\u2019s expansion of its proprietary advertising platform, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/us\/en\/advertising\/ads-go\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Journey Ads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (not to be confused with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/illumin.com\/insights\/guides\/journey-advertising-guide\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">journey advertising<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Launched back in 2022, Uber\u2019s Journey Ads offers <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/illumin.com\/insights\/guides\/complete-guide-to-display-advertising\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">display and video ads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> paired with demographics-based and behavioral targeting along with campaign performance measurement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The feature was introduced to let advertisers target riders with their ads and promotions from the moment they request a ride on their app to when they arrive at their destination.
